I’ve spent lots of time in the air traveling for work and pleasure (ask me how we once managed to fly from Houston to Moscow to Singapore to Bali – talk about the long way!) and also have dozens of hours in helicopters covering the news but there are two experiences which I want to talk about here.
1: My 53 minute flight with the USAF Thunderbirds
Before the flight Getting ready Heading out HUD display (fuzzy, I know) showing 574 mph (.96 mach) @ 6,470′ at a 90-degree angle to the ground, at 6.4G on the way to 9.2G
2: My trip to the USS Eisenhower aircraft carrier while underway in the Atlantic.
